The start of a new year often comes with pressure to set goals and become a new version of ourselves. While there's nothing wrong with wanting to grow, it's easy to get caught up in everything we think we should change and overlook the good in who we already are.
This gathering is about stepping away from the pressure to constantly improve and finding contentment with where we are right now. We'll explore Santosha (contentment), the practice of accepting ourselves as we are, while making space for growth without the belief that something about us needs fixing.
What we'll explore:
Traditional "So Hum" mantra meditation to cultivate awareness and connection with ourselves.
Bhastrika Pranayama (Bellows Breath) paired with Padma (Lotus) Mudra to explore breath, energy, and openness.
Gentle heart-opening somatic movement to release tension and create space for self-acceptance.
Exploring Santosha (contentment) and letting go of rigid resolutions and expectations.
Time for reflection through journaling or creative prompts.
What to expect
We'll begin with an hour of guided practices, including grounding, a short Dharma talk, meditation, breathwork, gentle movement, and reflection.
Afterward, enjoy 60 minutes of self-paced sauna and cold plunge.
No prior experience with meditation or breathwork is needed.
